Tennis is the foundation
Rich Benvin is a USPTR Certified Tennis Professional, former ATP player, and WTA coach. He reached a career doubles ranking of approximately No. 650 in 1991, competed and coached in the United States and Europe, and worked with professional and nationally ranked junior players.
His coaching experience includes Brenda Schultz-McCarthy during a period in which she reached the WTA top 10, Kellen Damico, Julia O’Loughlin, and rising ambidextrous player Teo Davidov.
Entrepreneurship beyond the court
The same habits that matter in tennis—preparation, pattern recognition, recovery, adaptation, and composure under pressure—also shape Rich’s approach to business and technology. Through Mass Density and a growing network of focused web properties, he has explored digital marketing, websites, AI systems, media, 3D printing, blockchain, tokenization, health, mentoring, and community design.
One network, not random projects
RichBenvin.com is the personal layer that explains how the projects fit together. Tennis provides the authority and human story. The portfolio pages show experiments, businesses, publications, communities, and platforms. The WordPress blog remains the living archive of articles and ideas.
Personal interests
Beyond tennis and technology, Rich’s interests include hiking, mountain biking, music, guitar, psychology, investing, health, and learning from people who take an unconventional path. He speaks German and Italian and has spent meaningful parts of his career in Europe and the United States.
